Our Halloween Dinner

The menu was chili . . . (and yes, just now I noticed that AJ is in the upper left hand corner of the picture sneaking Halloween candy. I'm such an observant mom!)

Ogre fingers

Frankenstein (for Garrison :) ) Jell-O

and Earth Worm Delight for dessert! Delectable as AJ likes to say!

Happy Halloween

Here a HEPA, there a HEPA, everywhere a HEPA, HEPA . . .

Dwight is officially finished with all his skin testing. Hooray! The good news is for now, he will not be getting any allergy shots. We will continue to monitor his asthma and try to keep it in the mild stage. The bad news, Dwight is allergic to practically everything (ok, not quite, but close enough). What is Dwight allergic to you ask? Let me see: Sagebrush, Russian Thistle, Molds(mostly the outdoors kind), oh and . . . House Dust! Ok, seriously, have you seen the inside of my dusty, always in construction home? Anyway, we need HEPA air filters and a HEPA vacuum cleaner and a few other household changes to make Dwight's breathing better. Now I may not ever have an excuse for not housecleaning! :(

Dwight, Our Human Pincushion

39 pokes to Dwight's back were given to see what kinds of things in the environment cause allergic reactions in him. By determining this, we can hopefully get a better handle on his asthma. The sad part is, he's not finished. Dwight will be getting 23 more pokes (this time in his arms) in the next two days. As you can see, he is not happy about it and neither are his mom and dad. :(

AJ Language

AJ woke up this morning ready for breakfast."What would you like to eat AJ?"
"Ummm . . . . Kwispy Kweets." In AJ language that's Cocoa Krispies. :)

Our newest nephew . . .

NOAH WALTER MEYR

We love dirt!

Digging up the backyard means fun rides for the kids.
Dwight did some of the steering by himself!

AJ loved his ride with dad.

The digging begins . . .

The backyard is getting ready for a new sprinkler system along with green grass. We can hardly wait!

It's a Boy!

We have a new nephew and cousin to celebrate in our family. Noah Walter Meyr was born around 3 AM this morning to Dwight (my younger brother) and Diane. Noah weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces and is 20.5 inches long. Dwight told me on the phone, "he's such a cute little guy!" Now we're patiently waiting for pictures. :)

A snowy day here in Billings

We could end up with a foot of snow by Monday.

Dewey, do you and Gil remember this coat? It's the Gap coat you gave Dwight for Christmas when he was 2 years old.

May The Force Be With You!

Dwight rediscovered his giant Star Wars sticker book that Uncle Dwight and Aunt Diane gave him for Christmas last year. In his free time, he works on it religiously. So, it's not surprising that most of our car rides back and forth to school revolve around Dwight's newly acquired Star Wars facts. Take yesterday for instance:
"Mom, did you know that Ben Kenobi has a really kind heart and prefers to disarm his enemies rather than slay them?"
"No, Dwight, I can honestly say I didn't know that."

Uncle Dewey would be proud. :)

Behold, our Creepy Black Spider . . .

made from crumpled up newspaper stuffed into black, plastic bags. Grace and I ended up finishing the job for the three little ones. Stuffing plastic bags is a lot of work! (At least that's what Cosette told me.)
