All I wanted for Christmas was one good picture of the 6 kids. I'm here to report that it didn't happen.
AJ: See how he's just starting to look unhappy. That's because I told him we would be done in 5 seconds and the picture taking process lasted about 15 minutes. There was a break down in 5 . . 4 . . 3 . . 2 . .1!
GRACE: She can pose for a picture like no one else. Out of the 225 shots we took, she had the same expression-slight disgust with the rest of her siblings.
GABE: He's at that wonderful age (almost 20) where he finds humor in the whole situation. He never loses his cool. He just enjoys watching me lose mine.
COSETTE: She's loves to pose any which way. The look on her face tells me she wanted a picture of just her. Who needs the rest of them?
GARRISON: Being autistic, he is easily distracted. I can't tell you how many pictures I have of him looking at someone else, probably thinking to himself "Why can't everybody just sit up and smile?"
DWIGHT: Tends to take after his mother. I don't like photos. I'm not photogenic. I make a rare appearance in pictures strictly for the memories. I believe Dwight's excuse this time for NOT smiling was, "Mom, I was only cute when I was 3 years old." Please, don't ask!

Happy New Year, Hein family. It's nice to see you all again even if it's just in a picture. :) Here's to seeing you in person in 2010.
I, for the record, think your family is lovely . . . whichever direction they're looking.
