Camp Mimi 2011-I Dig Dinosaurs-Day 4

Our volcano is finished, painted and forested with trees and plants.
Messy work but it looks realistic. We can't wait till it erupts.
On our dig, we traveled to Bug Creek badlands in Eastern Montana.
There were a few bones of different sizes, but we were lucky and found a skeleton in blocks of rock that might be a complete stegosaurus.
Back at the paleontology lab, we put on our safety goggles and went to work with chisels,
hammers, brushes and magnifying glasses to get the bones out of the chunks,
then clean, sort, and classify the bones.
For a snack, we crunched on trilobites, ammonites, fossilized footprints and bones, washed down with blue melted glacier water.
Our big dino heads are finished.
We cut and glued on teeth, horns and eyes,
and left them in the sun till the glue dries.
We ended the morning with a segment of a dino video about velociraptors and oviraptors.
