One day I was this little girl playing in the sand box and then I was 40---
For my 40th birthday, AJ made me a BIG chocolate chip cookie with 40 candles on it. He insisted. In case we all forgot how old I was-Isn't that sweet? Between AJ and his 40 candles and Garrison telling me "say goodbye to your 30's forever...", I was reminded a lot. :)
The birthday chef and proud of it.
All that fire gives your skin a very youthful glow. I say bring on the candles.
Cosette painted this beautiful vase for my birthday gift.
And I received this lovely August Poppy glass from my parents.
Pictures outside seemed like a good idea at the time-just ignore the violent wind. :)
My mom, me and my dad.
Gregg took about 7 shots of this picture. (Jan, you know how it goes) This was the best one so we gave up. In each shot, Garrison seems to be getting closer to taking me out. He's a big guy.
40 isn't so bad. I'm blessed with a great family and great friends. Bring on 41!

Oh my goodness. I love your family. Your kids couldn't be cuter, and you and Gregg just seem to get more adorable by the year.
You don't look (or act!) a day over 30. For real. I have more gray hair and bags under my eyes than you.
Much love to a dear friend. Happy birthday!
What a great birthday! Lauren is right. You don't look close to 40 at all. I love the fact that you fit 40 candles on your cake. :)
Lauren doesn't have gray hair, and if she does, it doesn't qualify. I have the gray hair market cornered for our family :) The older we get, the better the birthdays because they are filled with family and great friends!
